Baseball Game Preview: Hobart Brickies vs. Lowell Red Devils

For the second straight game, Hobart will face off against Lowell. The Brickies will head out on the road to square off against the Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Hobart is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since April 28th on Monday. They skirted past Lowell 9-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Brickies.

Alex Martin looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jayme Hairston, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Kenjic, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Hobart's win bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Lowell, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14-1 record this season.
