Week 3 California Bowl Rankings

The MaxPreps California Bowl Rankings have three new No. 1 teams this week with Corona Del Mar (Newport Beach), Campolindo (Moraga) and Lompoc all moving into No. 1 spots.

Corona Del Mar became the No. 1 team in Division II in Southern California when Rancho Verde (Moreno Valley) lost to Redlands East Valley (Redlands) in an Inland Division matchup. Rancho Verde dropped to No. 3 in the division.

Meanwhile, Campolindo (Moraga) moved past Sutter for the top spot in the Northern California Division III rankings. Sutter, which won its game against Ukiah last week, dropped to No. 3 when St. Ignatius was inserted into the No. 2 spot. St. Ignatius played in the Central Coast Section Division III playoffs last year and thus will be considered for the NorCal Division III rankings. However, St. Ignatius could end up in the Central Coast Section Open Division playoffs once the CCS chooses its playoff brackets in November. If that's the case, St. Ignatius would then be considered for the Division I rankings.

Lompoc, meanwhile, moved into the top spot in the Southern California Division III rankings while previous No. 1 Newbury Park dropped to No. 4.
