Baseball Recap: Windsor Drops Season-High Score on Loveland

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Windsor). They never let the Loveland Red Wolves get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Tuesday. The Wizards might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by ten runs or more this season.

Wyatt Gustafson looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Windsor let Izaak Haro and Mason Jordan run wild. Haro went a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, one run, and one double, while Jordan went 1-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave Haro a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Fillinger, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Windsor always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .654. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Windsor is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Loveland, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-9.

Windsor will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Red Wolves: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
