West Stanly is 8-2 against Monroe since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Colts will be playing in front of their home fans against the Redhawks at 6:00 p.m. West Stanly has given up an average of 2.6 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

West Stanly had taken Parkwood down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Colts took a 5-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolf Pack.

Raygan Gainey and Kennedy Foxx scored all three of West Stanly's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 29 goals.

Meanwhile, Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 9-0 to Piedmont. While losing is never fun, Monroe can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 473rd, while Piedmont are ranked 122nd).

West Stanly's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6. As for Monroe, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

West Stanly took their victory against Monroe in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 9-0 score. Do the Colts have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Redhawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
