Basketball Recap: Shea Wins High-Profile Contest Against Mt. Pleasant

On Wednesday, Shea faced Mt. Pleasant in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Shea Raiders managed a 33-29 win over the Mt. Pleasant Kilties. For the Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 72-47 victory the Kilties walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2021.

Shea now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Mt. Pleasant, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-8.

Shea will challenge Smithfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Shea is facing Smithfield at the right time seeing as Smithfield is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Mt. Pleasant, they will square off against Westerly at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Westerly's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.
