Softball Recap: 21 Straight Home Victories for Carrollton

Carrollton never let their opponents score on Monday. Everything went their way against the West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] Cougars as they made off with a 15-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won six in a row.

Lauren Flowers made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one triple. That triple was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Carrollton let Vanna Holmes and Brookelyn Eilerman run wild. Holmes scored two runs while going 3-for-3, while Eilerman scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Hannah Uhles was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Carrollton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. The last time their OBP was this high was back in May of 2024.
