Football Recap: Glenbard North's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Two + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Glenbard North had no problem doing just that on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Yorkville Foxes a 17-0 shutout. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Donato Gatses had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 182 yards and a pair of touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 134 rushing yards.

Glenbard North didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Yorkville to a completion percentage of just 43.8%. The Panthers have been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.6 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.6 in their last three games.

Glenbard North picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 7-3. As for Yorkville, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Glenbard North will face off against Moline at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Maroons' defense has only allowed ten points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them. Yorkville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
