Basketball Game Preview: California Academy of Math & Science Coyotes vs. Geffen Academy Bruins

The California Academy of Math & Science Coyotes will challenge the Geffen Academy Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. California Academy of Math & Science has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

On Friday, California Academy of Math & Science made easy work of Lennox Academy and carried off a 55-33 win.

Meanwhile, Geffen Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of Vistamar by a score of 63-60. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bruins have suffered since December 6, 2023.

California Academy of Math & Science will have to contain Nathan M as he made an impact in Geffen Academy's last game. He dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 boards. M's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

California Academy of Math & Science is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points per game. As for Geffen Academy, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-4.
