Baseball Game Preview: Ada Bulldogs vs. Ridgemont Golden Gophers

The Ada Bulldogs will challenge the Ridgemont Golden Gophers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Ridgemont took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Ada, who comes in off a win.

Ada took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Arlington by a score of 7-2. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Levi Green, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. He has become a key player for Ada: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Andrew Allen, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Ridgemont couldn't beat Perry on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Golden Gophers came up short against the Commodores, falling 14-8. The Golden Gophers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ridgemont saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Sifrit, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs.

Ridgemont's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Ada, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 3-6.

Ada took their win against Ridgemont when the teams last played back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 9-0 score. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Golden Gophers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
