Basketball Recap: Jack Tarrell's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Highland over Dodgeville

Highland came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 79-53 to the Dodgeville Dodgers. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dodgers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jack Tarrell, who went 7-for-12 on his way to 23 points and six boards. Kaden Washa was another key player, putting up 13 points and eight rebounds.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highland will welcome Shullsburg at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Cardinals' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Dodgeville, they will challenge Darlington at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
