Basketball Game Preview: Southview Cougars vs. Springfield Blue Devils

The Southview Cougars just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Springfield Blue Devils at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Southview has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Southview is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Scott, posting a 68-22 victory. The Cougars not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since December 2, 2025 (when they won 60-9).

Meanwhile, Springfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by Maumee Valley Country Day 48-20.

Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Southview, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Everything came up roses for Southview against Springfield in their previous meeting back in December of 2025, as the squad secured a 60-9 victory. In that game, the Cougars amassed a halftime lead of 46-3, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
