Baseball Game Preview: Paradise Bobcats vs. Colusa RedHawks

Paradise is 0-10 against Colusa since April of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Bobcats will welcome the RedHawks at 4:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, Paradise came up short against Durham and fell 8-4. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Michael Anderson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. Paradise is 4-1 when Anderson posts two or more runs, but 3-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Bunch, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Colusa). They blew past Paradise 11-1 on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the RedHawks needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Lucas Price made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Price was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Adan Travis was a standout: he scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Kane Nall was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Colusa always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Colusa's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-15. As for Paradise, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
