Soccer Recap: Old Orchard Beach Comes Up Short

Old Orchard Beach lost against Poland back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Seagulls came up short against the Knights, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Old Orchard Beach can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine soccer rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while Poland are ranked 20th).

Old Orchard Beach's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Poland, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.

Old Orchard Beach will face off against Sacopee Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Poland, they will venture away from home to square off against North Yarmouth Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
