Baseball Recap: Wakefield Takes a Loss

Wakefield lost against Herndon back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Warriors fell 5-2 to the Hornets. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wakefield saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Beck, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Joseph Todd also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Wakefield's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Herndon, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-3-1.

Coincidentally, Wakefield and Herndon will both be playing Washington-Liberty the next time they take the field. The Hornets will head out to face the Generals at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Warriors will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
