Soccer Game Preview: Valwood vs. Frederica Academy

The Valwood Valiants will head out on the road to face off against Frederica Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Valwood's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Valwood managed to slip by Terrell Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Valiants came up short against the Eagles on Tuesday, falling 5-1.

Meanwhile, Frederica Academy kept a clean sheet against Bulloch Academy on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Gators. The victory continues a trend for Frederica Academy in their matchups with Bulloch Academy: they've now won nine in a row.

Valwood's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Frederica Academy, their win bumped their record up to 10-4-1.

Valwood suffered a grim 6-2 defeat to Frederica Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Valiants were down 4-0.
