Franklin is still undefeated this season after their game against Valor Christian on Monday, but Valor Christian came as close as anyone has to beating them. Franklin never let Valor Christian get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. The one-run effort marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Kyle Pott tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Chance Moore and Brandon Williams did most of the damage at the plate: Moore went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI, while Williams went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Williams hit this season.

Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Valor Christian, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Franklin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-4 win against Calvary Day on the 18th. As for Valor Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 9-0 loss against Centennial on the 18th.
