Softball Preview: Home Streak Vs. Road Streak As Kickapoo Hosts Branson

Kickapoo has won six straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Branson has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The game is scheduled at 5:30 p.m. Branson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.

Kickapoo came into their game on Sunday off a hard-fought close win, but they unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Helias, falling 13-4.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Branson's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Aurora.

Branson saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Payton Youngblood, who went 1-for-2 while posting 2 stolen bases.

Even though they lost, Branson hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They have not posted that few strikeouts since August 27th, when they struck out zero times.

Kickapoo's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Branson, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
