Preview: California City Ravens vs. Rosamond Roadrunners

California City is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Rosamond is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The California City Ravens will take on the Rosamond Roadrunners at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

California City posted their biggest victory yet this season on Friday. They breezed by Boron at home to the tune of 72-25.

California City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carlito Brown led the charge by scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds. Brown continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last five games he's played. Darrius Brown was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

In what's become a running theme this season, Rosamond gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past Mammoth 82-48 at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-16.

Rosamond can attribute much of their success to Andrew Arredondo, who scored 20 points, and Fabian Robles, who scored 29 points. Arredondo has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Gomez, who scored ten points.

California City's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Rosamond, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: California City hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 52.9 points per game. It's a different story for Rosamond, though, as they've been averaging only 63.4 points per game. The only thing between California City and another offensive beatdown is Rosamond. Will they be able to keep them contained?

California City barely slipped by Rosamond in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 59-58. Will California City repeat their success, or does Rosamond have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
