Basketball Game Preview: Madison Cubs vs. Austin Eagles + How To Watch

The Madison Cubs will head out to square off against the Austin Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses apiece dating back to last season.

Madison is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 69-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Decatur on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Austin was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 50-49 to Paoli. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rams 12-8 in the first quarter.

Austin's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Madison, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Madison didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Austin in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 68-64 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cubs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
