Softball Recap: Berwick Comes Up Short

Berwick fell victim to Holy Redeemer and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Royals by a score of 1-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Royals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-2 on Friday.

Makayla Brown spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits.

Berwick dropped their record down to 8-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Holy Redeemer, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berwick will face off against Greater Nanticoke Area at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Holy Redeemer, they will square off against Hanover Area at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
