Softball Recap: Fleming County Panthers vs. Estill County Engineers

Fleming County had lost ten straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 6-14 to make it 11. They fell 8-5 to the Estill County Engineers. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Engineers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Ariana Adams was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Mcglone, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

As for Estill County, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games.
