Basketball Game Preview: Cibola Raiders vs. Marana Tigers

The Cibola Raiders are taking a road trip to take on the Marana Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Marana is hoping to do what Maricopa couldn't on Friday: put an end to Cibola's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Cibola blew past Maricopa 68-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Raiders have posted since December 5, 2024.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Marana challenged Cienega on Tuesday. Marana fell 82-71 to Cienega. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (68), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

Cibola is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points per game. As for Marana, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.
