Softball Recap: Central Wins Going Away Against Juanita Sanchez Complex

After only two runs in their last contest, Central made sure to put some runs up on the board against Juanita Sanchez Complex on Wednesday. The Knights blew past the Cavaliers 17-6. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won six games by 11 runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Janet Batista, who went 2-for-6 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Neilah Martinez was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one triple and one RBI.

Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .627. They are 6-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Central's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Juanita Sanchez Complex, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Central will challenge Times Squared Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Juanita Sanchez Complex, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Tiverton at 4:00 p.m. on May 5.
