Softball Recap: Mountain View Bruins vs. Pine View Panthers
Mountain View had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on the Pine View Panthers with a sharp 18-12 victory on Wednesday. The Bruins not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 8th.
Brinlee Gillman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Mountain View let Lucy Clark and Saralynn Hair run wild. Clark scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5, while Hair went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave Clark a new career-high. Hunter Adams also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Mountain View always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .644. They are 5-2 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
