Baseball Recap: Tomball Kings Homeschool vs. Northland Christian Cougars

Tomball Kings was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell victim to a tough 11-2 defeat at the hands of the Northland Christian Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Tomball Kings of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March.

Logan Guinn was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with a triple and a run.

On Northland Christian's side, Cy Taylor made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Taylor was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with a stolen base and two RBI.

Kelly Catholic's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Tomball Kings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
