Volleyball Recap: Legacy Extends Winning Streak to Three

Legacy had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Maywood CES Wolfpack. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since April 6, 2024.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Legacy who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 18-25, 25-14, 23-25, 15-12.

Frank Uchida paced Legacy's offense, picking up 13 kills. Uchida got some help from George Sanchez and his 34 assists.

Legacy pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Maywood CES, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Legacy is taking a road trip to take on Bell at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be Legacy's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Maywood CES, they will be playing at home against Whittier at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
