Softball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Ste. Genevieve's Seventh in Last Nine Outings

Ste. Genevieve lost to Scott City back in March of 2018, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Dragons were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Rams. The result was nothing new for the Dragons, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Ste. Genevieve has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Scott City, their loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-17.

Ste. Genevieve didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-7 defeat against Clearwater on the 5th. As for Scott City, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-6 win against Valle Catholic on the 5th.
