Softball Game Preview: Mason Classical Academy Paladins vs. Community School of Naples Seahawks

The Mason Classical Academy Paladins will head out on the road to take on the Community School of Naples Seahawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Mason Classical Academy has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Mason Classical Academy took a 15-run loss the last time they faced off against Everglades City, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Mason Classical Academy skirted past Everglades City 9-7. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Paladins as it put an end to their nine-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Community School of Naples). Everything went their way against South Fort Myers on Friday as Community School of Naples made off with a 19-3 win. With that victory, the Seahawks brought their scoring average up to 7.7 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Faith Zimm, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Brown, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2.

Community School of Naples always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .828. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got Community School of Naples back to even at 3-3. As for Mason Classical Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
