Softball Recap: Bristol Has No Trouble Against East

Bristol's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on East with a sharp 18-6 win. Considering the Panthers have won eight matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Kyler Kennedy, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sammy Mansfield, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Bristol's victory bumped their record up to 10-7-1. As for East, their defeat was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-16.

Coming up, Bristol will challenge Grand Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.43 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for East, they will face off against Canfield at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
