Football Recap: Pope John Paul II Comes Up Short

Pope John Paul II fell victim to East Robertson and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 24-0 to the Indians. Having soared to a lofty 34 points in the game before, the Knights' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

East Robertson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cade Brooks, who picked up 101 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 63 yards on only five carries. Brooks really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 82 yards. East Robertson also got a significant boost from Caleb McNeil, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 144 yards.

Pope John Paul II's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for East Robertson, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
