After a string of four wins, Kennedy's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the DSST: Montview Knights. The Commanders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 10-3.

Damian Ortiz made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Dylan Nielsen, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Kennedy's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-6. As for DSST: Montview, they pushed their record up to 5-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
