Haven put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Smoky Valley Vikings as the Haven Wildcats made off with a 42-16 victory. Fans of the Wildcats have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Haven had a senior duo take command as Vance Loop rushed for 159 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries and Nash Wray rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. Loop's longest rush was for an incredible 81 yards. Chandler Ingold was another key player, picking up 90 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Haven was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 278 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 234 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

When it comes to explaining why Smoky Valley lost, don't look at Gavin Stambaugh. Despite the final result, he rushed for 161 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.3 yards per carry.

Haven's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. As for Smoky Valley, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Haven will head out to challenge Douglass at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
