Basketball Recap: Central Fellowship Christian Academy's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Tuesday

Central Fellowship Christian Academy won the last time they faced Gatewood and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Central Fellowship Christian Academy Lancers walked away with a 48-37 victory over the Gatewood Gators. Given the Lancers' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while the Gators are ranked 249th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Gatewood still got an impressive performance from Riley Roberts, who posted 16 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Those 16 points gave Roberts a new career-high. Bela Smith was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Central Fellowship Christian Academy's record is now 19-3. As for Gatewood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11.

Central Fellowship Christian Academy will be playing at home against Windsor Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Central Fellowship Christian Academy's favor as the team sits on 13 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Windsor Academy has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road. Gatewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
