If Dr. Phillips was feeling good fresh off their 75-36 takedown of Freedom on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers were just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 62-61 to the South Lake Eagles. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Leading South Lake to victory were Isaiah Pina and Dwayne Foreman III. Pina dropped a double-double with 28 points and 13 rebounds, while Foreman III posted 16 points and five steals. Pina's big performance that morning made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathaniel Boyer, who had eight points.

Dr. Phillips' loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for South Lake, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-5 record this season.

Dr. Phillips will head out on the road to square off against Oak Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Pioneers have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for South Lake, they will welcome Wildwood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
