Volleyball Recap: El Diamante's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

If El Diamante was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mission Oak on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Miners came up short against the Central Valley Christian Cavaliers on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Miners were not able to make up for their loss to the Cavaliers from their previous meeting back in September of 2023.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-15, 25-12.

Aubrey Huitt paced El Diamante's offense, picking up 11 kills. Huitt got some help from Joscelyn Pena and her 13 assists. Elodee Taylor controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Cooper Piepgrass went supernova For Central Valley Christian., getting 16 digs and four aces. That's the most aces Piepgrass has posted since back in October of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, El Diamante fell to 3-1. As for Central Valley Christian, their win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1.

El Diamante didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Sierra on the 22nd. As for Central Valley Christian, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Clovis North on the 21st.
