Baseball Recap: Logansport Gets the Win

Logansport won the last time they faced Tipton and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Berries came out on top against the Blue Devils by a score of 4-1. That's two games straight that the Berries have won by exactly three runs.

Logansport got a great performance from Josh Middleton as he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. What's more, Middleton posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Bryson Herr was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Rogers, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

The win made it two in a row for Logansport and bumps their season record up to 4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Tipton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Coming up, Logansport will face off against West Lafayette at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tipton, they will square off against Eastern at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Comets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Blue Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
