Wall has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.95 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Sweetwater Mustangs by a score of 14-12. The Hawks' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Wall's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 15-6. As for Sweetwater, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9-1.

Coming up, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Wall Hawks challenge Grape Creek Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grape Creek has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18 runs per game on average), something Wall will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Sweetwater, they will take on Jim Ned at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
