Basketball Recap: Coleman Has No Trouble Against Marion

With a playoff win on the line, Coleman rose to the challenge on Monday. They put the hurt on the Marion Eagles with a sharp 41-20 win. The game marked the Comets' most dominant victory of the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Coleman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emily VanSickle, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave VanSickle a new career-high in steals (six). Eliza Lewis was another key player, putting up 17 points and seven boards.

Coleman smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

With the win, Coleman broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-19. As for Marion, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-18.

As of now, neither Coleman nor Marion have any future games scheduled.
