Preview: Vidalia Indians vs. Toombs County Bulldogs
The Vidalia Indians will be playing at home against the Toombs County Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Vidalia will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 245th, while Toombs County is ranked 99th).
Last Friday, Vidalia had to suffer through a rough 35-7 loss at the hands of Pierce County. Vidalia has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Toombs County can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They blew past Windsor Forest 48-0 at home. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Toombs County just coasted through the last quarter.
Toombs County can attribute much of their success to Tj Stanley, who rushed for 36 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 123 yards and a touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Dabvn Wadley, who rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Pierce County's win bumped their season record to 8-1 while Vidalia's defeat dropped theirs to 5-4.
Vidalia took a serious blow against Toombs County in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, falling 34-0. Will Vidalia have more luck at home instead of on the road?
