Baseball Recap: Clovis West Takes a Loss

Clovis West was the 7-3 winner over Clovis East when they last played one another last Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Golden Eagles fell just short of the Timberwolves by a score of 6-5 on Wednesday. Golden Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Timberwolves since on Wednesday.

Riley Steward was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Julian Manos was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
