Volleyball Recap: Durham's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Durham had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Willows Honkers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Durham was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-12, 25-6, 25-15.

Hayden Poyner paced Durham's offense, picking up nine kills. Poyner got some help from Lily Larrabee and her 30 assists. Josie Landon controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Durham's win bumped their record up to 27-4. As for Willows, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 19 of their last 21 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-23 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Durham and Colusa will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Willows, they will square off against Winters at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
