Volleyball Recap: 8:28 Gladiators Comes Up Short

8:28 Gladiators was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Life Prep Fire. The Gladiator were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fire apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

8:28 Gladiators took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-17, 23-25, 18-25, 25-23, 15-11.

8:28 Gladiators' loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Life Prep, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 3-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. 8:28 Gladiators will be taking part in a tournament against Burrton at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Life Prep, they will head out to square off against Topeka at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
