Volleyball Recap: MacDonald Condor vs. Cupertino Pioneers
MacDonald was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They came up short against the Cupertino Pioneers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.
While MacDonald was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-23, 25-11.
Nina Blanusa paced MacDonald's offense, picking up ten kills. Blanusa got some help from Hana Aman and her 20 assists. Blanusa was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.
MacDonald's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19-1. As for Cupertino, they pushed their record up to 23-6 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.
MacDonald didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Gunn on the 22nd. As for Cupertino, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Fremont on the 22nd.
