Baseball Recap: Kane's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Kane dropped their record down to 8-4 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They came up short against the DuBois Central Catholic Cardinals, falling 10-0. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Wolves, who until this game were averaging 3.5 runs allowed.

As for DuBois Central Catholic, their record is now 13-3. Considering they have won ten matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For DuBois Central Catholic's part, Carter Himes was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and three RBI. Those three runs gave Himes a new career-high. Brayden Zatsick was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double.

Looking ahead, Kane will look to defend their home field on Friday against Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley at 4:00 p.m. As for DuBois Central Catholic, they will head out on the road to face off against Johnsonburg at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
