Baseball Game Preview: Parrish Community Bulls vs. Venice Indians

The Parrish Community Bulls will face off against the Venice Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Parrish Community comes in on nine and Venice on five.

Parrish Community barely beat Lakewood Ranch the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulls were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Mustangs on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Bulls, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Francesco Giustino looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Parrish Community got a massive performance out of Jayden Peters, who scored four runs while going 4-for-5. Those four runs gave Peters a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tyler Cripe, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple.

Meanwhile, Venice owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They came out on top against Sarasota by a score of 4-0.

Parrish Community pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Venice, their record is now 17-2.

Parrish Community came up short against Venice in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 7-2. Can the Bulls avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
