Football Recap: Cypress Lake Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Cypress Lake won the last time they faced Lemon Bay and things went their way on Friday too. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 41-21 margin over the Manta Rays. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won three matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.

Jaydon Henderson threw for 220 yards and two TDs on only 16 passes. Adrian Burdette was his top target, picking up 81 receiving yards. On the ground, Javirin Singleton rushed for 78 yards and four scores on only eight carries.

Despite the loss, Lemon Bay still got an impressive performance from Carlos Serrano, who rushed for 227 yards and one touchdown. Serrano's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 120 rushing yards.

Cypress Lake's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.5 points on average over those games. As for Lemon Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Cypress Lake wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 44-34 win against Mariner on the 30th. As for Lemon Bay, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-7 victory against North Port on the 31st.
