Baseball Recap: North Branch Comes Up Short

The North Branch Broncos didn't have quite enough to beat the Standish-Sterling Panthers on Friday and fell 5-4.

North Branch saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drake Dorner, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. John Strzynski also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

North Branch's loss dropped their record down to 5-3-1. As for Standish-Sterling, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 14-0-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Branch will challenge Richmond at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Standish-Sterling, they will take on Bay City Western at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
