Sioux City West came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 7-1 to the Lincoln Lynx. The Wolverines were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lynx earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Sioux City West's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Lincoln, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-12 record this season.

Sioux City West didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-1 defeat against Sergeant Bluff-Luton on the 17th. As for Lincoln, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-1 loss against Ankeny on the 14th.
