The Pueblo South Colts will head out to face off against the Canon City Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pueblo South is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

Pueblo South is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Widefield just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gladiators. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Caeden Herrera was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Meanwhile, Canon City fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against The Classical Academy on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 5-3. The match marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Pueblo South's record is now 9-3. As for Canon City, their record now sits at 3-3.

Pueblo South skirted past Canon City 9-8 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colts since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
