Volleyball Game Preview: Sandburg Eagles vs. Oak Park-River Forest Huskies

The Sandburg Eagles will face off against the Oak Park-River Forest Huskies at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sandburg will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

Sandburg is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Illinois' top teams: Reavis, who was ranked 21st at the time (Sandburg was ranked seventh). The Eagles came out on top against the Rams by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.

Ethan Cleofe was the offensive standout of the matchup as he had ten digs and one assist.

Sandburg couldn't miss and finished the game having scored on 45% of their attack attempts. The last time their hitting percentage was this high was was before the start of last season.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Oak Park-River Forest had no trouble coming through when it counted. They won by a set and slipped past Lyons 2-1. The victory was familiar territory for the Huskies, who have now won six contests in a row.

Sandburg better keep an eye on Gus Leman. He was instrumental in Oak Park-River Forest's win, getting 22 digs and one assist. Those 22 digs gave Leman a new career-high.

Sandburg's record is now 35-4. As for Oak Park-River Forest, their record now sits at 31-4.
